About Richard Overholt
Richard is Director of Learning Management Systems at Full Sail University, where he has worked since 2015. He joined as Product Manager for the university’s proprietary learning management system (LMS) and became Senior Product Manager in 2021. In that role he owned the product roadmap and worked closely with executives. He took on his current role in 2024.
He bridges the gap between complex technical solutions and real-world business impact through thorough product management, strong client relationships and strategic implementation of technology and policy. His expertise spans browser-based software, computer-based testing, data analytics and AI implementation. He is equally comfortable presenting to C-suite stakeholders, coaching teams on emerging technologies or engineering prompts for AI solutions.
His passion lies in making technology work for everyone. A dedicated advocate for accessibility and universal design, he works to ensure solutions serve diverse users effectively. Before Full Sail, he was Implementation Services Manager at McCann Associates.

Full Sail University is a private university in Winter Park, Florida, specialising in entertainment, media, arts and technology. It began in 1979 in Dayton, Ohio, as an audio recording workshop, and moved to Central Florida in the 1980s.
The university offers associate, bachelor’s and master’s degrees, with fields ranging from audio recording and filmmaking to digital media and entertainment business. Students learn both on campus, in its production studios and classrooms, and online.
