About Angelika Gust

Angelika is Senior Product Manager for AI and Digital Channels at DB Regio. For more than eight years she has supported the company's AI, data and automation initiatives, with one goal: turning technology into measurable business impact that people use in their daily work. Her focus is on transformation that is strategically sound, works operationally and is accepted by the teams it affects.

She works where operations, technology and change meet. That covers AI and data roadmaps, discovering and prioritising use cases, governance and responsible AI, and enablement that gets teams using new tools quickly. Her topics include generative AI, agents and automation, virtual assistants and data-driven steering through KPIs and dashboards.

Change management is central to her approach. Angelika designs transformation so that uncertainty and fear of change go down, through transparent communication, co-creation, training and practical guardrails. Before her current role, she led marketing at S-Bahn Berlin for almost 14 years, following earlier roles in campaign management and brand management at Deutsche Bahn.

About DB Regio

DB Regio is the Deutsche Bahn subsidiary that runs regional and commuter transport in Germany. It operates regional trains, S-Bahn networks in cities such as Berlin, Hamburg, Munich and Stuttgart, and bus services across the country. Every day it runs around 22,800 trains on 310 lines and carries about ten million passengers.

Founded in 1999 during Germany's rail reform and headquartered in Frankfurt am Main, DB Regio employs more than 42,000 people. Unlike long-distance rail, its services are ordered and paid for by the federal states and their districts, typically through contracts lasting 10 to 15 years.
