About 3F
3F, short for Fagligt Fælles Forbund or the United Federation of Workers in Denmark, is the country's largest trade union, with around 260,000 members. It organises both skilled and unskilled workers in sectors such as industry, construction, transport, cleaning, agriculture and hospitality. Members belong to local branches across Denmark.
The union negotiates collective agreements on behalf of its members and supports them when rules or agreements are broken. It also offers courses, insurance and access to unemployment benefits through its unemployment fund. 3F was formed in 2005 through a merger of two older unions and is headquartered in Copenhagen.
