About Laura Heine
Laura is a UX designer at b13, where she has worked on design and concept since 2016. She turns client needs into clear concepts and simple interfaces that do the job without extra complexity. Her process starts with questions: she listens, asks why, and keeps asking until the real requirement is on the table.
Her work covers project conceptualisation and documentation, user journeys, UX and UI design. Most recently she has been part of b13's redesign of the TYPO3 backend for version 14, aimed at a faster, more modern interface that keeps users in context and can grow over time. She holds a BA in Information Design from Stuttgart Media University.
Laura also writes regularly on b13's knowledge base, on topics from UX strategy, site navigation and on-site search to atomic design. Her latest piece looks at designing responsibly with AI and what her team is learning along the way.
