About Melissa

Melissa is a multilingual psychotherapist based in Aarhus, Denmark, with over 20 years of international experience in mental health, humanitarian aid, and disaster response. She holds degrees from Tulane, Brandeis, and Harvard University, and has worked with organizations such as the Turkish Red Crescent, UNICEF, UNHCR, and Oxfam America.

Melissa has provided psychological support in crisis zones worldwide—from refugee camps and earthquake sites to post-disaster recovery efforts like Hurricane Katrina and the Grenfell Tower tragedy. She is the founder of a London-based mental health charity and a recipient of multiple awards for her public service and early intervention work.
