About Nanna Kirkegaard
Nanna leads digitalisation work in large, complex organisations, close to operations, where strategy has to become something employees actually use. As team lead at the Danish Defence, she built an RPA team of two process analysts and two RPA developers around a roadmap, an operating model and a steady agile cadence, while also working as a process analyst herself.
Over eight years in municipalities and the Danish Defence, she has procured and implemented an RPA platform from scratch, carried out a value-stream analysis of an entire organisation’s data flows and led the implementation of specialist systems. Before joining the Danish Defence in 2022, she worked as an automation consultant and academic staff member at the City of Copenhagen.
With a background in the social sciences from Roskilde University, Nanna approaches change from the users’ side: technology only succeeds when people actually use it. For her, leadership is less about having the answers and more about guiding people towards a decision, creating a learning environment where it’s safe to question methods and decisions, and keeping the path clear rather than being a bottleneck.
