About Rob Fowles

Rob is Head of Digital Channel Management at the University of Birmingham, a role he has held since January 2020. He is an experienced marketer with a passion for digital media and technology. His expertise covers web technologies and content management systems, social media, paid digital advertising, SEO, email, user experience and analytics.

Before Birmingham, Rob spent almost eight years at the University of Derby. He started in the B2B division, recruiting students to professional and accredited programmes, and then led marketing for the College of Business's undergraduate and postgraduate courses. From 2016 he was the university's Digital Marketing Manager.

Having worked in both B2B and B2C settings, Rob puts weight on building strong relationships and using them to get work done. Earlier in his career he was Customer Insight and Knowledge Manager at Futures Housing Group.
