About Thibaud Colas
Thibaud is a technical lead specialising in web technologies. He joined Torchbox in 2019 as a Senior Engineer and has been Product Lead & Engineering Manager there since 2024. Before that, he was a Software Architect at Codemate. He has also been part of the Wagtail CMS core team since 2018, helping shape one of the most widely used open-source content management systems built on Django.
Thibaud is a familiar face in the Django community. He joined the board of the Django Software Foundation in 2023 and served as its President in 2025. He continues to volunteer with the foundation. He cares about impactful work, open-source software and sharing what he learns with others, and is a strong advocate for diverse communities in tech.
