About Svenja Wiegemann
Svenja moves comfortably between creativity and public service. Before stepping into her role at the City of Hamburg, she spent nearly a decade in leading creative agencies, where she shaped digital experiences, guided clients through complex projects and built a reputation for strategic clarity and collaborative energy.
Her career includes roles as Associate Creative Director and Creative Director at Interone, Creative Direction at Erste Elf, and eight years as Founder & Creative Director of her own agency, HEY NOW GmbH — work spanning service design, user interface prototyping, and user journeys for clients across industries. One standout project, redesigning EOS's career website, was praised by clients for blending creativity with strategic insight and redefining standards in employer branding.
Her year at Copenhagen Business School added an international lens and a strong grounding in business and innovation. Today, Svenja works as a Digitalisierungsexpertin (digitalization expert) with DigitalFirst, part of the Freie und Hansestadt Hamburg's Senatskanzlei, Amt für IT & Digitalisierung — bringing her agency-honed skills to government, applying them to improve digital services for citizens. Curious, practical and people-centred, she is always exploring how design and technology can make everyday life work better.
