About Anja Saabye
Anja is an executive leader in Product, Design, and Innovation, with a track record of building scalable organizations and market-defining products in complex, technology-driven environments. Joined LEGO as a Design Leader in May 2026.
Her core focus is building and scaling high-performing global product and design organizations, driving design transformation in engineering-heavy environments, and establishing design as a strategic leadership discipline rather than a support function.
Previously Head of UX and Product Design, Senior Manager at Universal Robots, where she operated at the intersection of product strategy, design leadership, automation, and advanced technology — helping the team turn deep tech into intuitive, commercially successful products as it grew.
Prior to that, she brings an extensive agency background, with experience spanning executive-level product and design leadership, organizational transformation, and leading global, cross-functional teams. She has also operated at strategic and board level, including experience as an employee-elected board member. She lives privately in Odense, Denmark.
