About Jeffrey A. "jam" McGuire
Jam is co-founder of Open Strategy Partners and works as a fractional CMO for B2B tech companies, combining senior marketing leadership with a team that delivers. His focus today is a shift he sees reshaping B2B buying: buyers and their AI tools increasingly decide who makes the shortlist before anyone reaches your website. His work is about making sure companies are the name that comes back when someone looks for what they do, clearly, accurately and ahead of the field.
He helps companies sharpen their positioning, become findable and recommended by both buyers and AI (through SEO, GEO and structured data), and keep their website, documentation, review sites and AI answers telling the same story. As producing marketing content gets cheaper and faster, he argues, good judgment becomes more valuable than ever. That means knowing what to say, how to earn trust in a technical market, and what “good” looks like.
Jam has spent his career hands-on in open source and B2B tech, with more than 150 conference talks, dozens of keynotes, and hundreds of podcast conversations across the Drupal, TYPO3, PHP and wider tech communities. He also feeds his inner performer as a storyteller and musician, and once brought an alphorn on stage at the Boye Aarhus 22 conference.
