Boye Aarhus 27 Conference
Boye Aarhus 26 conference opening
Boye & Co has brought digital leaders together in Aarhus since 2005, and November 2-4, 2027 we’ll do it again.
Boye Aarhus 27 is a no-fluff conference where optimistic humans share real experiences, through talks, workshops and plenty of conversation. No pitches. No BS. Just people helping one another make progress.
Expect peer-led sessions, a curated programme and an international community of leaders, practitioners and designers from 20+ countries.
The programme will build on what we heard in 2026, with themes like AI in practice, content and digital estates, design leadership, employee experience and digital transformation.
Don’t take our word for it
Here’s what participants shared after Boye Aarhus 26:
Dennis Nordstrom turned his UX Research talk into a detective story: Total Killer UX research, and why our field should move from solving cases to preventing them.
Katja Diehl on a workshop that stayed with her: “Designing for the excluded means building better for everyone.”
Matt Garrepy on Aarhus as a “river mouth” of ideas: “This is precisely the kind of human community Janus Boye has been building, and I’m fortunate to be a part of it.”
Ieva Glasius-Nyborg on a day of design leadership: “Fantastic hand-picked speakers, sharp minds and topics that will definitely find their way into my design leadership toolbox.”
Julian Mills on how the team “put a complete package together”, from Steven Pemberton’s take on vibe coding to Jeffrey McGuire’s flugelhorn.
Kenza Elfellah on the range of topics: “From technical debt and digital sovereignty to mountains and bird murals”, and a new definition of sustainable design.

Real peer-to-peer conversations
Sessions are built for dialogue, not a stage and an audience. Speakers share real experiences, including what went wrong. Track sessions are kept small enough that everyone can ask questions, challenge ideas and bring in their own examples. You’ll leave with answers to the problems you’re actually facing, not just a set of slides.
Curated programme, no vendor pitches
Every session is chosen for substance, not sponsorship. The programme is put together independently by Boye & Co and shaped by what our community tells us matters most. Across several tracks, from UX and content to digital strategy and leadership, you’ll hear honest stories from practitioners at organisations like yours.
A community worth being part of
A returning, international community of leaders, practitioners and designers who learn from one another year after year. Since 2005, people from 20+ countries have come to Aarhus to share, connect and build lasting relationships. Many of the conversations started here continue long after the conference, in our peer groups and at our other events.

Venue
Boye Aarhus 27 takes place at Godsbanen, Aarhus’s cultural production centre. It is housed in a former freight railway station, where old industrial buildings meet bold modern architecture, and is home to workshops, studios, stages and creative communities. That makes it a fitting setting for a conference about making things work in practice.
Godsbanen is in the heart of Aarhus, a short walk from Aarhus Central Station and close to hotels, restaurants and the city’s cultural life.
Address: Skovgaardsgade 3, 8000 Aarhus C, Denmark
